Bath Gateway Out and About Club was set up in 2009. We are a self-funding organisation An organisation are a group of people who work together. with charity status with a full management committee and two paid club leaders an administrator and development officer.
We runs a Monday and two Wednesday clubs evening from 7pm till 9pm during term time with additional day trips and occasional weekends away/holidays.
We do not have our own premises as we are always ‘Out & About’ so this keeps our running cost to a minimum allowing us to subsidise our activities.
Our aims are:-
To provide social events for adults with learning disabilities.
To encourage social interaction with venue staff and members of the general public.
Provide a varied programme of activities/events/visits including meals out, arts and crafts, cooking, bingo, bowling, skittles, picnics, cinema, music and dance just to mention a few.
Organise/arrange day trips and holidays during college breaks.
Involve members in decision making concerning their club.
To ensure that our members enjoy themselves, expand their life skills, develop friendships, enhance confidence and build self-esteem.
